PM vows for overall development of Madhes

Rautahat - Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that he was committed to the overall development of Madhes. 

At an election assembly organised by Nepali Congress at Garuda in Rautahat on Thursday, NC President Deuba said that the government has put construction of Tarai-Kathmandu fast-track and Nijgadh international airport in its top priority and construction works related to this have been carrying out in an expiated manner. 

Saying that there was no alternative to NC for the development of Madhes, PM Deuba said, "Let's make the NC victorious in local-level elections scheduled in Province No 2 as Madhes is the land of NC." 

He said that discussion was held with India in order to resolve problems of inundation in Madhes and added that study of border area of both countries would be carried out soon. 

Similarly, NC senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel and Secretary General Dr Shashanka Koirala said that the NC would win the elections in most of the local levels in Province No 2.
