Sunsari District Administration Office Imposes Indefinite Curfew

Sunsari. The District Administration Office Sunsari has issued an indefinite curfew order in various areas of the district.

According to the order issued by Chief District Officer Ishwariprasad Aryal, the curfew has been enforced from 9 PM on Tuesday until further notice.

As per the order issued under Section 6(A) of the Local Administration Act, 2028, movement, assembly, processions, demonstrations, meetings, gatherings, and blockades are prohibited within the specified areas during the curfew period. The administration has stated that those who violate the order will be prosecuted according to prevailing laws.

The curfew has been implemented in the area within 200 meters on both sides of the Mahendra Highway under Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-16 and 17, Ramdhuni Municipality-1 and 5, the entire area of Inaruwa Municipality, Duhabi Municipality, Bhokraha Narsingh Rural Municipality, Koshi Rural Municipality, Gadhi Rural Municipality, Dewangunj Rural Municipality, Harinagar Rural Municipality, and Barju Rural Municipality.

The District Administration Office stated that the curfew order was issued based on the decision of the District Security Committee meeting held on Tuesday.
