Energy Minister Appoints Vivekraj Kandel as Unpaid Advisor

Kathmandu. Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Birajbhakta Shrestha has appointed Vivekraj Kandel as the ministry's unpaid advisor (Energy Trade and Infrastructure).

Minister Shrestha informed about Kandel's appointment by posting on social media Facebook.

Minister Shrestha expressed confidence that Kandel's expertise, national and international experience, and foresight will further accelerate policy reform in Nepal's energy sector, energy trade expansion, promotion of private sector investment, and integration with the regional energy market. His contribution is also expected to make Nepal's energy sector more capable, competitive, and future-oriented.

In the Facebook post, Minister Shrestha said, 'We believe that his expertise, national and international experience, and foresight will further accelerate policy reform in Nepal's energy sector, energy trade expansion, promotion of private sector investment, and integration with the regional energy market.'
