Iran Reports Significant Natural Gas Production Loss Due to Conflict with US and Israel

Tehran. Iran has stated that it has suffered a major loss in its natural gas production capacity due to the war with America and Israel.

According to the Iranian government, the country has lost about 230 million cubic meters of daily gas production capacity due to the war. Iran's government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani gave this information on Tuesday during a televised press conference. According to her, damage to energy infrastructure during the war has significantly affected gas production.

Earlier in April, Iran had demanded compensation for the damage caused by attacks from America and Israel.

According to the initial estimates released by Iranian officials, economic damage of about 270 billion US dollars has occurred directly and indirectly since the war began on February 28. Iran claims that energy, industry, transportation, and other important infrastructure have been extensively damaged during the war.
