Gagan Thapa Appoints Gopalman Shrestha Senior Leader

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa has announced the appointment of former Vice-President Gopalman Shrestha as Senior Leader. 

On the occasion of the 44th B.P. Koirala Memorial Day on Thursday, at the National Assembly Hall, President Thapa announced the appointment of leader Shrestha, who is undergoing treatment in a critical condition due to illness, as Senior Leader during the program organized to announce the new situation, new resolve, new campaign.

He also stated that this decision will be ratified by the upcoming central committee meeting. President Thapa said that the central committee meeting will be scheduled by Friday in consultation with the leaders.
