Nepal All Out for 157 Against Netherlands in ICC Cricket World Cup League-2

Kathmandu. In the ICC Cricket World Cup League-2 match, Nepal has been restricted to only 157 runs against the Netherlands. Invited to bat first after losing the toss, Nepal lost all wickets in 44.4 overs and could only manage to score 157 runs. 

Arif Sheikh contributed the highest 41 runs for Nepal. He hit 4 fours off 90 balls. Similarly, Gulshan Jha scored 29 runs with 1 four and 2 sixes off 42 balls, while Dipendra Singh Airee added 21 runs off 42 balls. Karan KC remained unbeaten on 13 runs, while Sompal Kami scored 10 runs and Asif Sheikh scored 14 runs. 

Nepal's top-order batsmen proved to be a flop again. Opener Kushal Bhurtel scored 9 runs, Ishan Pandey scored 4 runs, and captain Rohit Paudel returned to the pavilion cheaply after scoring only 3 runs. Sandeep Lamichhane could not even open his account. 

Netherlands bowlers kept the Nepali batsmen under pressure with tight bowling. Alexander Roy took 3 wickets for the Netherlands, while Logan van Beek and Roelof van der Merwe took 2 wickets each. Kyle Klein took 1 wicket. 

The poor performance in Nepal's batting has continued. In the previous match held the day before yesterday, Nepal was defeated by Namibia by a huge margin of 8 wickets.
