Hearing Committee to Review Proposed Election Commissioners on July 27-28

Kathmandu. The hearing for the proposed Chief Election Commissioner and Commissioners will be held on Shrawan 12 and 13.

A meeting of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee held at Singha Durbar on Tuesday morning decided to hold the hearing for the two proposed commissioners on Shrawan 12 and the hearing for the proposed Chief Commissioner on Shrawan 13, informed Committee Chairman Bodhnarayan Shrestha.

In Tuesday's meeting, the complaints received regarding the individuals proposed for appointment to the posts of Chief Election Commissioner and Election Commissioner, and the work plans submitted by the proposed individuals were distributed.

The Constitutional Council meeting held on Ashadh 19 had recommended Man Bahadur Karki for the post of Chief Election Commissioner. The same meeting decided to recommend Dr. Rajiv Subba and Guru Prasad Wagle for the post of Election Commissioner.

Committee Chairman Shrestha informed that the committee meeting will be held at Singha Durbar at 11:15 AM on Shrawan 12 and 13.
