GWM Ora 5 EV SUV Features Dragon Armor Battery Developed by SVOLT

Although most automobile companies purchase batteries from third parties, GWM is one of the few automobile manufacturers in the world that conducts research, development, and production of batteries through its sister company SVOLT Energy.

The 'Dragon Armor Battery' used in the GWM Ora 5 EV SUV, recently launched in Nepal, was also developed and produced by SVOLT, an advanced battery manufacturing company under GWM. Developed after years of research and technological advancement, this battery combines high safety resistant to fire and water, long driving range, fast charging capability, and excellent performance on a single platform.

The reason for the name 'Dragon Armor' is its special internal structure. The cells inside the battery are arranged layer by layer, like dragon scales. This creates a special type of downward venting system, which in case of abnormal conditions generating heat or fire, directs it downwards and out, preventing it from spreading to the passenger cabin.

For this reason, this structure serves as an additional protective shield for passenger safety.
