Nepali Film 'Lalibazar' Completes 51 Days of Screening, Achieves Commercial Success

Kathmandu. Nepali film 'Lalibazar', which was released on April 25, completed its 51st day of screening today, Saturday.

'Lalibazar', produced under the banner of Shatkon Arts, has completed its 51st day in QFX including Bhaktapur, Civil Mall, City Square, Big Movies of Kamalpokhari, CDC Cinemas of Sundhara, CK Cinemas of Sitapaila, Ranjana Cineplex of New Road, Friends Cinemas Butwal and Ilam, Cine Royal of Nepalgunj.

Pradip Bhattarai, the executive producer and screenwriter of the film, said that he would visit various halls throughout the day to meet the audience and share the success the film has received. He said, 'Like the previous films produced by Shatkon Arts, we have received love this time as well, we have no words to express our gratitude. Today, Saturday, we are visiting various halls throughout the day and meeting the audience.'

He informed that 'Lalibazar', which has completed 51 days in Nepal, has started its diaspora screening. 'Now the film will be screened in Nepal as well as in foreign markets, we will provide information about various countries soon. The film, which is currently being screened in various countries in Europe, will be screened in Japan, Australia and America respectively,' said executive producer Bhattarai.

Among the Nepali films released so far in the year 2083 BS, 'Lalibazar' has become one of the most commercially successful films. The film, which has already grossed over 90 million rupees at the domestic box office, is heading towards the 100 million club.

The film is directed by Yam Thapa. Earlier, Shatkon Arts has produced successful films such as 'Tulkajung vs Tulke', 'Jatra', 'Jatrai Jatra', 'Mahapurush', and 'Mahajatra'.

The film features actors Swastima Khadka, Rabindra Singh Baniya, Samaira Thapa, Mukund Kumar Shrestha, Abhay Baral, Prem Pandey, Asha Poudel, Govinda Sunar, Aabha Aryal, Tara Sharma, Ramesh Wadi, Saraswati Adhikari, Janaki Kathayat, Nishchal Panthi, Birbal Chaudhary, among others.

Bishal Devkota and Prashangsa Subedi have debuted in acting through this film. Bishal is an active artist in the theater, while Prashangsa is known as a Gen Z actress.

The screenplay and dialogues of the film were jointly written by Yam Thapa and Pradip Bhattarai. The executive producer of the film is Pradip Bhattarai, while Max Dipesh Khatri and Rabindra Singh Baniya are the producers.
