Nepal Loses to Thailand by 57 Runs in ACC Women's Premier Cup Quarter-final

Kuala Lumpur. In the quarter-final match of the ACC Women's Premier Cup, Nepal was defeated by Thailand by 57 runs. Chasing a target of 131 runs, Nepal could only score 74 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs.

Rubina Chhetri contributed the highest 20 runs for Nepal. She hit 3 fours in 23 balls. Sony Pakhrin added 15 runs, while Samjhana Kumari and Sita Rana Magar scored 12 runs each.

For Thailand, Thipatcha Putthawong, Sunita Chaturongratana, and Suliporn Laomi took 2 wickets each. Phanita Maya took 1 wicket.

Batting first after winning the toss at Bayuemas Cricket Oval in Kuala Lumpur, Thailand scored 130 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Wicketkeeper Nanapat Khacharernkai played a half-century innings for the team. She scored 62 runs with the help of 6 fours in 51 balls.

Opener Phanita Maya scored 26 runs in 21 balls, while Chanida Sutthiruwang contributed 16 runs. For Nepal, Kabita Kunwar, Riya Sharma, and Rubina Chhetri took 1 wicket each.
