CPN-UML Vice Chairman Bishnu Poudel States Party Suffered Historic Defeat in Last Election

Kathmandu. CPN-UML Vice Chairman Bishnu Poudel has said that CPN-UML suffered the biggest shock in its history in the election held on Falgun 21.

Poudel said this on Wednesday while addressing a two-day national workshop on 'Membership Renewal and Expansion Motivation' organized by the Central Organization Department in Kathmandu.

'The party's relationship with the people has been broken. But we will rise again,' said Vice Chairman Poudel. 'We suffered the biggest shock in history in the last election. That election defeat is the biggest defeat in the history of UML. But we will get up by dusting ourselves off.'

He also said that the issue of party membership would be important. 'The issue of party membership is an important basis for party building,' Poudel said. 'The future of the party is determined by the quality of its members.' He said that the goal cannot be achieved unless the members are organized and active, and also connected with ideology.
