CPN-UML Central Secretariat Meeting Begins to Finalize Leaders' Work Division

Kathmandu. The UML Central Secretariat meeting has started to finalize the work division of the leaders. The meeting, which started at Chairman KP Sharma Oli's residence in Gundu, is preparing to discuss and decide on the work division of leaders proposed earlier by Chairman KP Sharma Oli.

The work division of the office bearers and central members elected from UML's 11th General Convention held in December has not happened yet. The proposal for work division put forward by Oli mentions giving double and triple responsibilities to some leaders.

Similarly, it is understood that the issue of the campaign being run by some leaders and cadres on the issue of party reorganization and transformation will also be raised in today's meeting.

Leaders and cadres have been running a campaign demanding that Chairman Oli should step down taking responsibility for the failure. They have also launched a signature campaign for a special general convention.

On the other hand, it is understood that today's meeting will also discuss the responsibilities of former President Bidya Devi Bhandari. Although Chairman Oli announced at Monday's meeting to open Bhandari's membership, it is being watched with interest what responsibility she will be given.
