Sindhuli Heritage Conservation and Sustainable Tourism White Paper Released

Sindhuli. The 'Sindhuli Heritage Conservation and Sustainable Tourism White Paper-2083', prepared by the citizen level for the sustainable conservation and management of Sindhuli's historical, cultural, and environmental heritage, was formally released on Sunday amidst a high-level roundtable dialogue held in Sindhuli. The white paper and policy demand letter were formally handed over by prominent heritage lover Bhim Vikram Thapa to the House of Representatives member for Sindhuli Constituency Number 2, Ashish Gajurel. Accepting the white paper, MP Gajurel expressed his commitment to making special efforts to include Sindhuli's historical strategic identity and eco-tourism in national policy and budget. The white paper demands a complete ban on cementation and commercialization. It includes the issue of immediately stopping modern physical construction and indiscriminate use of cement against archaeological norms in Sindhuli Gadhi, Hariharpur Gadhi, and the historic Dhunge Bazaar area. The white paper states a commitment to conserve old bunkers, kotghars, temples, and indigenous wooden balconies 'as they are'. Similarly, a resolution has been passed that municipalities should make policy decisions to officially establish the actual victory date of the Sindhuli Gadhi war based on the facts of historians and celebrate 'Victory Day' grandly from next year. The white paper urges municipalities to include in the budget the issues of stopping illegal crusher extraction in the Sun Kosi river and operating adventurous rafting and boat safaris for the Majhi community, establishing a 'Digital Crafting Lab' for Danuwar handicrafts in Marin, creating a bird watching trail in the Chure, and operating a mediator-free 'Smart Haat Bazaar' on the BP Highway. At the program, Hotel Association Sindhuli President Chandra Desh Shrestha announced that work would be advanced by creating a special tourism promotion schedule to be operated throughout the year for the conservation of the district's heritage and sustainable tourism development and green hospitality. A schedule of various programs to be conducted throughout the year for the promotion of Sindhuli has been put forward. Accordingly, on Asauj 15, 'Green Hospitality' orientation and nationwide promotion of traditional and indigenous Majhi and Danuwar cuisine will be held during the Sindhuli Gadhi Victory Festival. In Mangsir and Poush, a 'Junnar Garden Tour' package will be facilitated through direct partnership with Junnar producing farmers in Golanjor and Fikkal. In Magh, 'Fort Stage Ride' cycling will be managed based on the forts of Sindhuli Gadhi, while in फागुन, a three-day special hospitality training will be conducted in homestays and hotels in Marin, Hariharpur Gadhi, and Sun Kosi areas. In the hot months of Baishakh and Jestha, a plan has been put forward to start the institutionalization of a 'Work from Nature' package to attract remote workers to the hills of Fikkal and Mahabharat. This historic program, jointly organized by Samriddha Sindhuli Abhiyan, Story Cycle, and Hotel Association Sindhuli, was attended by a large solidarity and active participation of the district's people's representatives, planning officers, tourism entrepreneurs, heritage activists, and civil society representatives.
