Nepal Truck Transport Entrepreneurs Federation Denies Endorsing Candidate

Kathmandu. After news was published in some media and social media that the President of Nepal Truck Transport Entrepreneurs Federation, Rajendra Bikram Baniya, supported Harisharan KC in the election of the National Federation of Transport Entrepreneurs of Nepal, it has been refuted.

President Baniya clarified in a press release that the Nepal Truck Transport Entrepreneurs Federation has not officially supported any candidate in the upcoming convention. He stated that the Truck Federation is an autonomous organization and, while respecting the National Federation of Transport Entrepreneurs of Nepal, it has adopted a neutral stance.

Baniya mentioned that the news of support circulated through social media, some online media, and various newspapers is not official. "The Nepal Truck Transport Entrepreneurs Federation is an autonomous organization, and this organization highly respects the National Federation of Transport Entrepreneurs of Nepal. It is hereby informed to all that no candidate has been officially supported in the upcoming convention," the press release states.

He mentioned that the Truck Federation and the National Federation of Transport Entrepreneurs are sister organizations and stated that the organization will not take sides for or against anyone in the election process.

The selection process for new leadership is underway as part of the seventh National Convention of the National Federation of Transport Entrepreneurs of Nepal, which is ongoing in Pokhara. The competition for the post of president is between Punyaprasad Sitaula and Harisharan KC.
