Seven Dead in Separate Road Accidents Across Nepal

Kathmandu. Seven people have died in separate road accidents in Nawalpur East, Kapilvastu, Salyan, Pyuthan, and Sunsari. These accidents, which occurred on Friday and Saturday, claimed the lives of pedestrians and drivers alike. In Nawalpur East's Gaindakot Municipality-16, Amrapuri Chowk, 42-year-old pedestrian Laxmi Sharma Subedi died after being hit by a motorcycle. Subedi, who was seriously injured when the motorcycle with registration number Ga.Pra 04-002 Pa 1809, traveling from Bhedabari to Rajahar, hit her, died during treatment at New Medical College, Bharatpur, last night. In the same municipality's Ward No. 9, Thumsi, 35-year-old Jamuna Giri Thapa of Devchuli-10 also died when a tipper truck with registration number Na.7 Kha 8621 collided with a motorcycle with registration number Lu.41 Pa 9237. In Kapilvastu's Maharajganj Municipality-1, Bagahiya, 22-year-old driver Pintu Bari lost his life when a tractor with registration number Lu.1 Ta 4136 lost control and met with an accident. He died during treatment at District Hospital, Taulihawa. In Salyan, two drivers died in two separate tractor accidents. In Bagchaur Municipality-10, Bhatbite, 25-year-old Basanta Budhathoki died on the spot when a tractor with registration number Bhe.1 Ta 2090 met with an accident, and in Darma Rural Municipality-2, Bhuskola, 17-year-old Pradip BK died during treatment when a tractor with registration number Ra.1 Ta 4495 overturned. In Pyuthan's GauMukhhi Rural Municipality-4, Nepane Khola, 25-year-old driver Hemraj Rana Magar died on the spot when a motorcycle with registration number Lu.56 Pa 1576 lost control and met with an accident. Similarly, in Sunsari's Barahkshetra Municipality-5, 30-year-old Manis Basnet of Dharan died when a motorcycle with registration number Pradesh 1-01-018 Pa 7892 met with an accident. Police have stated that they are conducting necessary investigations into all the accidents.
