Nepathya to Perform in New Zealand

Kathmandu. Lok-rock band Nepathya is going to perform musically in New Zealand. Less than two weeks after returning from performing in Canada, which is connected to the Arctic Ocean in the Northern Hemisphere of the Earth, Nepathya is going near the Antarctic Ocean in the Southern Hemisphere. The team is leaving for there this Monday.

This time, the band has chosen Auckland, a busy city in the northern island of New Zealand, for the performance. Nepali lok-rock will resonate on Sunday evening, May 10, at the 'Duo Drop Event Centre' there.

Nepathya had previously performed in Auckland in 2017. At that time, Nepathya performed at the 'Sky City Theatre'. According to the then organizer team's Raj Maharjan, the door for the movement of Nepali artists in that country opened with Nepathya's performance that year. This is the band's second visit to New Zealand in nine years.

According to local organizer team's Rojan Bhattarai, a significant number of audience participation has already started for the Auckland show. 'Ticket booking is happening at a rapid pace,' he said, 'As the program date approaches, those interested in the show are starting to be seen everywhere.'

Bhattarai said that they are ready to welcome Nepathya in New Zealand in a grand manner in the traditional 'Haka style' of the indigenous Maori community. In recent times, this country has been becoming an attractive destination for Nepalis, especially for studies.
