Actress Rekha Thapa Announces New Film 'Kaukuti'

Kathmandu. Actress Rekha Thapa has announced a new film 'Kaukuti'. On Monday evening, after performing a special puja at Kainchi Dham in Uttarakhand, India (a temple famous due to Hindu saint Neem Karoli Baba), Rekha formally announced the film as the beginning of a new venture. This film will be the 8th film under Thapa's banner.

Shraddha Prasai will direct the film. Prasai is the director of the recently popular comedy show 'Comedy Darbar'. The film directed by her, 'Kakakiki', is ready for release.

Rekha will play the lead role in the film, and preparations are underway to cast a new actor as the main male lead. The story of the film is by Vicky Agarwal and Vineshh Rai, with the screenplay written by Vineshh himself. The film will be invested in by Navraj Shrestha and Balaram Shahi Thakuri. Balaram is also Rekha's husband.

The film, scheduled to be shot in the upcoming Ashwin, will feature music by Prashant Siwakoti. The song in the film will be sung by popular rapper Lil Jholla (Akash Chhetri), it has been informed.
