Delhi Capitals Set Massive 265-Run Target Against Punjab Kings in IPL 2026

Kathmandu. In the 35th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, Delhi Capitals have set a massive target of 265 runs for Punjab Kings.

Delhi, having won the toss and elected to bat first at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, scored 264 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. This is the highest score of the season. 

For Delhi, opener KL Rahul played a magnificent unbeaten century innings of 152 runs. He was well supported by Nitish Rana, who scored 91 runs. Rahul and Rana shared a massive 220-run partnership for the second wicket. 

Equaling Gayle's Record

KL Rahul completed his century in just 47 balls in the 15th over. 16 runs came from that over, where Rahul displayed excellent batting to complete his sixth IPL century. 

With this century, Rahul has managed to equal Chris Gayle's record of scoring 6 centuries in the IPL. Additionally, he has also reached parity with Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner on the list of players with the most centuries (2) for Delhi Capitals. 

Punjab Kings will face a difficult challenge in chasing this massive target.
