Films 'Paral Ko Aago' and 'Michael' Hit Theaters Nationwide

Kathmandu. Starting today, Friday, the films 'Paral Ko Aago' and 'Michael' have been released in theaters across Nepal. Based on Guru Prasad Mainali's timeless literary work, 'Paral Ko Aago' has had an encouraging start, securing approximately 150 shows nationwide. 'Michael' has also received a strong show count.

Produced by Sushil Pokharel, 'Paral Ko Aago' has been granted a 'Universal Certificate' by the Central Film Censor Board, meaning the film is suitable for audiences of all age groups. The film features performances by Saugat Malla, Suhana Thapa, Prakash Saput, Sirjana Adhikari, Shankar Acharya, Kishor Bhandari, Jack Shrestha, Sarita Bhandari, Renu Neupane, and child artist Manjila Baniya.

Produced under the banner of Hari Om Cine Makers Pvt. Ltd., the screenplay and dialogue for the film were written by Sushil Devkota, while Sulabhi Pokharel and Satyam Pokharel are its producers. The film is being distributed across Nepal by RR Films.

Similarly, 'Michael' is a biopic based on the life of pop icon Michael Jackson. Directed by Antoine Fuqua, the film features Michael Jackson's nephew, Jaafar Jackson, in the lead role. Jaafar's look and performance bear a striking resemblance to Michael Jackson.

The film stars Miles Teller as Jackson's lawyer John Branca and Colman Domingo as his father, Joe Jackson. Originally scheduled for October 2025, the film's release date was moved up to its current premiere.
