Truck entrepreneurs in Rupandehi raise concerns over competition with Indian vehicles

Butwal. Truck entrepreneurs have drawn the attention of the Rupandehi District Administration Office regarding the challenges faced while competing with Indian vehicles.

The entrepreneurs submitted a memorandum through Assistant Chief District Officer Medhnath Padhya, stating that Nepali vehicles are unable to compete with Indian vehicles due to high taxes, fuel prices, and operating costs. 

They noted that because Indian vehicles operate at a lower cost, Nepali entrepreneurs are being financially impacted.

Stating that it is difficult to operate businesses in the current situation, they have demanded that prompt, effective, and positive initiatives be taken by the relevant authorities to resolve the issues.

Led by truck entrepreneur Pankaj Rai, a delegation including Santosh Tamang, Dhan Bahadur Thapa, Tek Bahadur Thapa, and Lal Bahadur Tamang visited the administration office. They also warned that if their demands are ignored, they will announce further protest programs.
