Dhurandhar 2 Makes History as Third Highest-Grossing Indian Film Globally

Mumbai. The Indian film 'Dhurandhar 2', which has been setting one record after another in the film industry, has created a global sensation at the box office. By its 31st day of release, the film has made history by grossing 1,748.91 crore INR worldwide.

With this, 'Dhurandhar 2' has surpassed Allu Arjun's blockbuster 'Pushpa 2' (1,742.10 crore) to claim the title of the third highest-grossing Indian film worldwide. Now, only Aamir Khan's 'Dangal' (2,070 crore) and Prabhas's 'Baahubali 2' (1,788.06 crore) remain ahead of it. Given the film's current momentum, it appears poised to challenge the record of 'Baahubali 2' soon.

According to the trade website Sacnilk, while there has been a slight decline in earnings as the film enters its fifth week, a significant increase was observed over the weekend. After earning 2.70 crore on its 30th day, the film recorded a net collection of 4.65 crore on its 31st day. Its total net collection in India has reached 1,110.47 crore, while the gross collection has already hit 1,329.31 crore.

The Hindi version of the film contributed the most with 4.50 crore on the 31st day, while the business of the Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada versions remained relatively low. The film's craze continues in the international market as well. With an additional 1.10 crore added abroad on the 31st day, the total overseas gross collection has reached 419.60 crore.

Previously, the first part of 'Dhurandhar' also created a stir by earning 1,307 crore worldwide. The first installment had broken the record of 'Baahubali 2' by earning over 193.06 crore in the US and Canada alone.
