Man killed in neighbor dispute in Udayapur

Udayapur. A minor dispute between neighbors in Chaudandigadhi Municipality, Udayapur, has turned fatal, resulting in the death of one person. On Sunday evening, a 73-year-old man attacked his 64-year-old neighbor with a sharp weapon in Sita Paila Tole, Ward No. 7, leading to the victim's death.

According to the incident report, a dispute occurred between 73-year-old Ram Prasad Rai and 64-year-old Mahasher Rai around 8:15 PM on Sunday regarding neighborhood issues. In a fit of rage, Ram Prasad attacked Mahasher with a sharp weapon, causing a deep wound on the upper right side of his chest.

The injured Mahasher was immediately rushed to the Beltar Municipal Hospital for treatment. However, doctors declared him dead upon arrival. According to the police, he had already succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.

Ram Prasad Rai, who is involved in the killing, has been taken into custody by a police team deployed from the Area Police Office, Beltar. A team led by Police Inspector Prabhat Laksam Limbu has taken him into custody and initiated further investigation.
