Samir Balami Re-elected as President of Film Journalists Association Nepal

Kathmandu. Samir Balami has been re-elected as the president of the Film Journalists Association Nepal. Balami secured victory for his second term during the association's 10th General Convention, which concluded on Saturday night. He defeated his closest rival, Jeevan Parajuli, to win the election.

From the election, Raghunath Sapkota was elected unopposed as Vice President (Organization), Kumar Acharya as Vice President (Programs), and Deepjyoti Thapa was selected as Vice President (Women).

Gopi Krishna Chapagain was selected as General Secretary, Madan Rijal as Secretary, and Mohammad Jalim was elected unopposed as Secretary (Inclusive). Similarly, Manish Anjan was elected as Treasurer and Arjun Guragain as Joint Treasurer.

Eight members were elected unopposed to the association's committee, including Sojana BK Lohar, Sushil Nepal, Dinesh Thapa, Nabin Chapagain, Ratan Bahadur Chand, Yubarna Poudel, Deepraj Chhetri, and Salikram Neupane.

The new executive committee will work for the rights and advancement of film journalism for the next three years.
