Hospitals to Provide 24/7 Inpatient and Emergency Services on Sundays

Kathmandu. Inpatient and emergency services at hospitals will remain operational 24 hours a day, including on Sundays. The Ministry of Health and Population announced this in a statement issued on Friday.

The statement noted that in accordance with the 'two-day weekend' policy, pre-scheduled surgeries on Sundays will be rescheduled based on patient convenience, while inpatient and emergency services will continue to run 24/7.

The Ministry has requested hospitals to provide all possible services during holidays to ensure patients do not face hardship, to facilitate easy referrals to nearby appropriate hospitals for unavailable services, and to ensure ambulances are kept in a state of readiness.
