Rolpa - Divorce cases have slightly increased in the district in the past one year.
According to data with the Rolpa District Court, 333 divorce cases have been recorded in the fiscal year 2073\74, an increment from 323 in FY 2072\73.
Increasing incidents of misuse of means of communications and social networking sites, immigration to city area and male family members staying outside house for long are among the factors behind such incidents, said advocate Sriman Pokharel.
The list of divorce cases has dominated incidents wherein husbands are working in foreign land, said a court employee Damodar Dahal. In most of the cases, female divorcees have separated by not claiming alimony.
