Bagmati Province Government Adjusts Public Transport Fares

Kathmandu. The Bagmati Province government has adjusted the fare rates for vehicles operating within the province. On Friday, the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Transport of Bagmati Province announced that the adjustment for public transport operating within the province's cities and settlements was made in agreement with transport entrepreneurs. The adjusted fare rates have also been published in the Nepal Gazette.

The provincial government is responsible for setting the fare rates for public transport operating within the province. Previously, inter-provincial fare rates were determined and announced by the central government.

The ministry stated that for electric passenger vehicles, the previous fare rates implemented from 2079/01/01 will remain in effect.
