ANNISU – R gears up for new leadership

Kathmandu - CPN (Maoist Centre) aligned All Nepal National Independent Students' Union – Revolutionary is gearing up for its 21st national conference.

The conference will be held from August 23 to 27, said Revolutionary's Chairman Narendra Neupane. The inaugural session will be held at Brikutimandap while the closed session will take place at the Tribhuvan University in Kirtpur.

Neupane elaborated on the goals of the national conference saying it will raise the educational issues giving it the precedence of a national issue. He added that socialist educational system would be the chief agenda in the conference.

The conference will elect 25 officials and 199 central committee members. A total of 2,076 representatives will take part in the conference. With the unification with various student organizations, the ANNISU – R has a jumbo conference organizing committee with 999 members.
