CPN (UML) Secretary Padma Kumari Aryal Demands Immediate Action Against Rising Cybercrime

Kathmandu. CPN (UML) Secretary Padma Kumari Aryal has demanded that the government take immediate action against those involved in the rising incidents of cybercrime in the country. Stating that cybercrime incidents are having a negative impact on society, she emphasized that there should be no delay in conducting a factual investigation and bringing the culprits to justice.

Speaking to journalists at the Federal Parliament building complex, she expressed concern that the morale of criminals has increased due to the rise in impunity regarding cybercrime. Secretary Aryal informed that they have visited the Nepal Police Cyber Bureau to exert pressure to ensure justice for victims and punishment for perpetrators.

She argued that the lack of action is the main reason for the development of a mentality that one can say or do anything in the current situation. She noted that only by initiating strict legal action against the guilty in a timely manner will other potential offenders be deterred and such criminal activities be controlled.

Emphasizing that the government must pay special attention to controlling cybercrime, she demanded that the investigation process be made faster and more efficient. She stated that the state must keep those who misuse technology to assassinate character and disrupt social harmony under strict surveillance.

Aryal made it clear that until criminals are brought to justice, such incidents will not be minimized.
