Nepali Congress Leader Dismisses Claims of Parallel Activities Amid Internal Disagreements

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress Sudurpaschim Province President Bir Bahadur Balami stated that it is inappropriate to claim that parallel activities are taking place when disagreements arise within the party.

Balami, who arrived in Maharajgunj to attend the informal meeting of the Deuba-Koirala faction's central working committee, told journalists that holding gatherings and discussions is a matter of right.

He also urged both sides to contemplate for the sake of internal party unity and move forward by accepting reality.

Balami said, 'Yesterday, such activities used to happen on a personal level. Now, leaders are doing it collectively.'

He claimed that their committee, which emerged from a special general convention, is stronger. 'We are strong; merely confirming authenticity is not enough. This is a time for both sides to contemplate,' Balami said.

Balami stated that the party will not become stronger by using force or making someone appear weak. 'No one will become stronger by exposing others. Everyone is in a weakened state,' Balami said.
