Ministry of Water Supply Prioritizes Making Water Projects Women-Friendly

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Water Supply has stated that prioritizing making water supply projects women-friendly is a key focus.

Speaking at an event organized in Lalitpur on Monday on the occasion of World Water Day, the ministry's spokesperson, Meena Shrestha, shared this information. She clarified that the ministry has implemented a system related to water supply, sanitation, and hygiene management in all local levels of the government to ensure gender-friendly water management.

Spokesperson Shrestha also stated that the government implemented this system to ensure everyone has access to water management. She also cautioned all concerned parties to formulate water supply projects based on necessity.

The Ministry of Water Supply also claimed that it is collaborating with provincial and local governments to make water management work women-friendly.
