Tribhuvan University to Offer PhD in Sanskrit Starting Next Academic Year

Kathmandu. Tribhuvan University (TU) will begin offering doctoral-level studies (PhD) in Sanskrit starting next academic year. The decision was made by the Academic Council of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, which approved the conferral of PhDs in Sanskrit under the Faculty of Humanities starting next year, informed Dr. Bamdev Adhikari, Assistant Dean of the Faculty.

According to him, a decision was also made to publish the results of all examinations of the Faculty of Humanities within one hundred days. Furthermore, Assistant Dean Dr. Adhikari informed that TU is preparing to launch a Theatre program in Mass Communication and Journalism.

Similarly, he stated that decisions were made regarding the cancellation of affiliation for Navakshitij College in Bardibas, Mahottari, granting permission for Ratna Rajya Laxmi Campus, Exhibition Road, to conduct postgraduate studies in Mass Communication and Journalism, and granting permission for Saraswati Campus, Thamel, to conduct postgraduate studies in Political Science.
