Rastriya Swatantra Party Receives More Votes for Party List Than Its Candidates in Kaski

Kaski. In the House of Representatives election held on Thursday, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) received more votes for the party list than for its candidates who won in the direct election and came first in the proportional representation category.

While the RSP candidates received a total of 109,544 votes in the direct elections across all three constituencies, the party received 113,628 votes under the proportional representation category. The party received 4,084 more votes than its candidates in the district. In contrast, for the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML, the candidates received more votes than the party in the proportional representation category.

The Nepali Congress received 30,494 votes for its candidates, while the party received 28,656 votes under proportional representation. CPN-UML received 25,828 votes for its candidates, while the party received 24,199 votes under proportional representation.

Similarly, for the Rastriya Prajatantra Party and the Communist Party of Nepal, the party received more votes than its candidates. The Rastriya Prajatantra Party received 6,466 votes for the party list, while its candidates received 4,027 votes in the direct election. The Communist Party of Nepal received 5,763 votes under proportional representation, while its candidates received 5,211 votes in the direct election, according to the Election Office.
