Efforts Underway to Reopen Snow-Blocked Roads in Humla's Namkha Rural Municipality

Humla. Work has begun to reopen the Hilsa road section in Namkha Rural Municipality-5, Humla, and the Nyalu road section in Ward-6, which were blocked following snowfall in the second week of Magh.

Assistant Chief District Officer Rajendra Kumar Chand stated that the effort to clear the snow-blocked roads began to facilitate voter movement ahead of the House of Representatives elections. The closure of the roads due to accumulated snow had halted the movement of the general public and vehicles.

According to Assistant Chief District Officer Chand, the Hilsa-Simikot Road Project has already deployed an excavator to clear the Hilsa road. Furthermore, Ward Chairperson of Limi, Paljor Tamang, reported that Namkha Rural Municipality and the Infrastructure Development Office have mobilized two excavators to clear the road leading to Limi village in Ward Number 6.
