Seven Provincial Governments to Present Annual Budgets Today

Kathmandu. All seven provincial governments are presenting their annual budgets for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84 today. Economic Affairs and Planning Ministers will present the income and expenditure details for the new fiscal year in the respective Provincial Assembly meetings to be held today. According to constitutional and legal provisions, provincial governments are mandated to present their annual budgets by Asar 1st of each year. Following this rule, all seven provinces are presenting their budgets today. The path for budget presentation has been cleared as the policies and programs of all provincial governments have already been passed by their respective Provincial Assemblies. According to the schedules set by various Provincial Assemblies, Madhesh Province will present its budget first at 1 PM. Similarly, Karnali Province has prepared to present its budget at 3 PM. Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces have scheduled to present their budgets in their respective Provincial Assemblies at 4 PM. Lumbini and Sudur-Paschim Provinces, which are on the list of presenting budgets the latest, have completed their internal preparations to present their budgets only at 5 PM.
