Iskcon Director Arrested for Child Abuse

Kathmandu. Police have arrested a director of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (Iskcon) located in Budhanilkantha Municipality-5. District Police Complex Kathmandu SP Pawan Bhattarai told Ratopati that director Surajkrishna Shrestha has been arrested.

He was arrested by the police on charges of abusing children studying at Iskcon. SP Bhattarai said that Shrestha was arrested a few days ago and an investigation has been started.

Police are investigating him on charges related to children. The children had filed a complaint against the Iskcon director alleging abuse. He was arrested after the complaint.
