Central Security Committee Concludes Meeting on Election Preparedness in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. The meeting of the Central Security Committee has concluded at Singha Durbar. On Thursday, under the chairmanship of Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, the heads of all three security agencies and army representatives discussed election security scheduled for Falgun 21.

A high-ranking official from the Home Ministry told Ratopati that contemporary issues and election security were discussed in the meeting. Officials from the Provincial Security Committee and District Security Committees also participated in the meeting virtually.

Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal directed the security chiefs to conduct the elections impartially. Stating that the nation's condition would weaken further if the elections were not completed, Aryal told the security chiefs, 'All security agencies must coordinate with each other to ensure a peaceful election.'

During the meeting, the heads of the three security agencies and officials from the District Security Committees briefed Home Minister Aryal on the activities and preparations made so far.

Officials from the District Security Committees presented their concerns regarding problems in the districts and the need for additional manpower.
