Kalimati Market Sets Wholesale Prices for Agricultural Produce

Kathmandu. Kalimati Fruit and Vegetable Market Development Committee has determined the maximum wholesale price of agricultural produce for today. According to the committee, the wholesale price per kilo for large tomatoes (Nepali) is Rs 45, small tomatoes (local) Rs 12, small tomatoes (tunnel) Rs 21, red potatoes (long) Rs 48, red potatoes (round) Rs 45, red potatoes (mud) Rs 45, red potatoes (Indian) Rs 36, white potatoes Rs 38, and dried onions (Indian) Rs 55.

Similarly, local carrots are priced at Rs 120 per kilo, Terai carrots Rs 100, local cabbage Rs 35, local cauliflower Rs 80, white radish (hybrid) Rs 25, long eggplant Rs 40, and round eggplant Rs 50.

The committee has set the wholesale price per kilo for climbing beans at Rs 80, corn beans Rs 50, local ghee beans Rs 90, hybrid ghee beans Rs 90, rajma ghee beans Rs 100, striped beans Rs 60, soybean pods Rs 140, bitter gourd Rs 40, bottle gourd Rs 40, local parwal Rs 40, Terai parwal Rs 40, snake gourd Rs 30, ridge gourd Rs 60, jhinguni Rs 60, ripe pumpkin Rs 60, long green pumpkin Rs 90, round green pumpkin Rs 40, okra Rs 50, sweet potato Rs 120, taro Rs 100, and chayote Rs 60.

Mustard greens are priced at Rs 120 per kilo, spinach Rs 100, cress Rs 100, mustard greens Rs 90, green onions Rs 100, button mushrooms Rs 260, oyster mushrooms Rs 500, king oyster mushrooms Rs 300, and shiitake mushrooms Rs 1,000.

Asparagus is priced at Rs 300 per kilo, niguro Rs 100, broccoli Rs 140, beetroot Rs 70, red cabbage Rs 60, Jiriko greens Rs 100, celery Rs 200, parsley Rs 350, fennel greens Rs 100, mint Rs 250, gantro Rs 90, tamarind Rs 180, tama Rs 160, tofu Rs 160, and gundruk Rs 350.

Fuji apples are priced at Rs 300 per kilo, Nepali bananas (dozen) Rs 250, Malbhog bananas Rs 200, lemons Rs 160, pomegranates Rs 500, Maladaha mangoes Rs 160, Dasheri mangoes Rs 170, green watermelons Rs 70, oranges Rs 300, pineapples (per piece) Rs 200, local cucumbers Rs 90, hybrid cucumbers Rs 70, local cross cucumbers Rs 90, jackfruit Rs 50, pears Rs 130, Nepali papayas Rs 90, Indian papayas Rs 120, raw coconuts Rs 80, and green coconuts Rs 170.

Ginger is priced at Rs 230 per kilo, dried chilies Rs 500, green long chilies Rs 70, green bullet chilies Rs 70, mache chilies Rs 40, bhede chilies Rs 60, akbare chilies Rs 250, green garlic Rs 100, green coriander Rs 120, dried Chinese garlic Rs 220, dried Nepali garlic Rs 200, dried fish Rs 1,000, fresh Rohu fish Rs 340, fresh Bachuwa fish Rs 300, and fresh Chadi fish Rs 300.
