Writer and Journalist Mukunda Acharya Honored with 'Bihari Lal Lath Karmavir Samman'

Birgunj. Writer and journalist Mukunda Acharya has been honored with the 'Bihari Lal Lath Karmavir Samman'. Acharya was felicitated with a shawl and a letter of honor today at a program organized here by the Relief Society of Commerce on the occasion of the 14th death anniversary of the late Bihari Lal Lath, the founding general secretary and former president of the organization.

Literary figure Acharya has been active in the fields of Nepali language and literature, Bhojpuri language-literature, teaching, and journalism for the past five decades. Madhesh University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Deepak Shakya, President of the Birgunj Chamber of Commerce Hari Gautam, and the organization's President Yogendra Prasad Yadav jointly honored Acharya.

On the same occasion, Anamika Rauniyar, Chief of the District Election Office Parsa, Yoga Instructor Ram Prasad Pandit, Pilot Saurabh Rauniyar, Entrepreneur Deepti Dhurka, and Teacher Dr. Neha Agrawal, who have contributed to various sectors of society, were also honored with letters of appreciation.

Organization advisor Ganesh Prasad Lath stated that the tradition of honoring individuals who have done remarkable work in society has been initiated. Vice-Chancellor Shakya said that honoring individuals who contribute selflessly to society is an exemplary and commendable act.

Honoree Acharya stated that the honor has given him further encouragement and motivation.
