Agreement Prepared Between Loan Shark Victims and Government Negotiating Team

Kathmandu. An agreement letter is being prepared to be signed today between the protesting loan shark victims and the government negotiating team. The preparation is to give a written agreement and formalize the verbal agreement reached between the government team and the victim representatives in Simara.

For this, the final stage of decisive talks is ongoing between the government negotiating team and the representatives of the loan shark victims at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (Singha Durbar).

Prior to this, intensive discussions were held yesterday between the government negotiating team and the victim side at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. Based on yesterday's discussion and agreement, the final agreement is being prepared today.

Who is in the negotiating team?
The government negotiating team is led by Pushkar Sapkota, Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

The team includes Joint Secretary Kali Prasad Parajuli from the Ministry of Home Affairs and Director General of the Department of Land Management Yogendra Prasad Dulal as members.

On behalf of the victim side, the negotiating team is coordinated by Awadhesh Kushwah of Nawalparasi (Susta Purba). Team members include Manoj Paswan of Siraha, Rizan Ranamagar of Gorkha, Laxmi Ghimire of Bhojpur, Kiran Pariyar of Bardaghat West, and Nirgraj Jaisi of Kailali.
