All Nepal National Independent Students Union (Revolutionary) Demands Ban on 'Masterni' Song and Video

Kathmandu. All Nepal National Independent Students Union (Revolutionary) has demanded an immediate ban on the promotional song and video of the recently released film 'Masterni'.

Central Chairman of the organization, Bijayprakash Sharma Sapkota, issued a press release on Friday demanding a ban on the song, stating that it attacks the dignity of teachers, the teaching profession, the teacher-student relationship, and the respect for women. 

'The recently released Masterni song and video has drawn the serious attention of All (Revolutionary) as it attacks the dignity of teachers, the teaching profession, the teacher-student relationship, and the respect for women, promoting vulgarity, obscenity, and consumerist cultural trends', the statement read. 

The organization has determined that such content, which attacks respected professions, social values, and cultural norms in the name of freedom of art and expression, is unacceptable from any perspective.

It has demanded that the producers, directors, artists, and all concerned parties who promote vulgarity be investigated and legally prosecuted according to the prevailing laws. 

Furthermore, the organization has appealed to all conscious citizens to firmly stand in favor of the dignity of education, the respect for teachers, and the preservation of healthy national culture, and to unite against such cultural encroachment.
