Two Arrested in Tanahun with Country-Made Firearms

Tanahun. Two individuals have been arrested in Devghat Rural Municipality-4, Tanahun, in possession of two country-made firearms. The arrested individuals have been identified by the District Police Office as Purnabahadur Gurung, 40, and Arjun Gurung, 24, both residents of Sarwang, Devghat-4.

A police team deployed from the Saranghat Area Police Office arrested and presented them near the Risti River, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police Shrawan Kumar Bik of the District Police Office. He stated that they were arrested with the firearms while patrolling in the rural area.

A black substance resembling gunpowder and pieces of iron were also recovered from their possession. Police have stated that both arrested individuals have been remanded for seven days by the District Court on Tuesday for investigation under the Arms and Ammunition Act.
