Government Seeks Progress Reports on Conditional Financial Transfer Programs in Local Levels

Kathmandu. The government has sought progress reports of agriculture and livestock development programs operated through conditional financial transfer in the local levels. The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has directed all rural municipalities and municipalities across the country through a circular to send the progress reports of programs implemented in the fiscal year 2082-83.

The circular, sent in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forests and Environment, mentions that the report has been sought to understand the effectiveness and implementation status of plans operated for the increase of agricultural production and productivity.

According to the ministry, progress reports must be submitted in accordance with the 'Conditional Financial Transfer Agriculture Development Program Implementation Procedure, 2082' and 'Livestock and Fisheries Development Program Implementation Procedure, 2082' to make the programs transferred to the local levels systematic, transparent, effective, and result-oriented.

Local levels have been arranged to prepare and send detailed reports of physical and financial progress quarterly and annually to the center. Along with the circular, the ministry has also sent a specific format for the progress report. In which the name of the program, annual allocated budget, physical target, progress to date, problems encountered, and solutions will also have to be mentioned.
