International Conference Begins at Purbanchal University Campus in Morang

Biratnagar. An international conference has started today at the Purbanchal University campus located in Gothgaun, Morang. The two-day conference is organized by Purbanchal University. The conference, titled 'Envisioning the Future of the Himalayas: The Path to Sustainability and Development,' includes 194 research papers.

Discussions will be held on five subjects including Arts, Law and Education, Management, Engineering, Science and Technology, and Medicine & Health Sciences. Inaugurating the conference, University Grants Commission Chairman Prof. Dr. Devraj Adhikari highlighted the importance of international conferences. He stated that such conferences hold great significance for development, management, international relations, and relations between universities.

In the first session, Dr. Mrigendra Bahadur Karki, Executive Director of SINAS, and Professor Sten W. Wallace from Norway were the keynote speakers. The keynote speakers for the second session were Professor Dr. Kitting Angsuli from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, Professor Rafal Lizut from the State University of Internal Affairs, Poland, and Professor Lucis Botege from North-West University, South Africa.

The key speakers for the third session included Prof. Dr. Sudhan Jha from Kathmandu University, Professor Anirudh Agarwal from BML University, India, and Upendra Prasad Poudyal from Asia Pacific Global Alliance for Banking on Values, Netherlands.

Purbanchal University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Bijukumar Thapaliya welcomed the participants and guests while providing information about the objective and importance of the international conference, and Registrar Professor Dr. Kalyani Mishra extended a vote of thanks to the guests and participants.
