Police Arrest Three Men in Separate Rape Cases Across Nepal

Kathmandu. Police have taken three individuals into custody from Udayapur, Dadeldhura, and Surkhet on separate charges of rape.

Laxman Pathak, 23, a resident of Ratmate, Triyuga Municipality-9, Udayapur, has been arrested on allegations of raping a 16-year-old girl. Based on a complaint filed on behalf of the victim, a team from the District Police Office, Udayapur, took Pathak into custody on Monday afternoon and initiated an investigation.

Similarly, Suresh Sarki, 29, from Amargadhi Municipality-11, Dadeldhura, was arrested on charges of forcibly raping a 15-year-old girl. He was apprehended on Monday evening by a police team deployed from the District Police Office, Dadeldhura. Meanwhile, in Surkhet, 30-year-old Bale Khanda, a resident of Birendranagar Municipality-10, was detained on allegations of raping a 20-year-old woman.

According to the police, the accused in all three incidents were taken into custody by the respective District Police Offices based on complaints filed by the victims. Police stated that legal proceedings have been initiated against all three arrested individuals under the offense of rape, and further necessary investigation into the incidents is underway.
