Kapilvastu Police Arrest Four Fugitive Defendants in Various Cases

Kapilvastu. The Kapilvastu Police have arrested four defendants who were absconding in various cases. According to the District Police Office, Kapilvastu, the absconding defendants were apprehended from different locations in the district based on special information.

The police stated that the arrested defendants have been presented before the Kapilvastu District Court for the execution of the verdict.

According to the police, one defendant convicted in a vehicle manslaughter case was sentenced to 1 year and 3 months in prison and a fine of Rs. 65,000. Similarly, three defendants convicted in a case related to offenses against the protection of pregnancy were sentenced to varying terms of imprisonment.

According to Ripendra Kumar Singh, Information Officer at the District Police Office, although their addresses were mentioned as Kapilvastu Mayadevi Rural Municipality-1 and 5, names were used in code language.

The District Police Office has stated that it is continuing its campaign to search for and arrest absconding defendants for the effective implementation of verdicts issued by the court.
