Tanahun District Police Office Begins Training for Election Police Personnel

Tanahun. The District Police Office, Tanahun, has started training for the election police deployed in the elections today. Training for those deployed in the elections is being conducted at five locations in the district.

The training commenced following the appointment of candidates who passed the main selection process after applying for election police, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shrawan Kumar Bik of the District Police Office, Tanahun.

According to him, the training will be conducted at the Byas Municipality-5 Patan Sports Ground under the District Police Office Tanahun, the Aambukhairani Campus under the Area Police Office Aambukhairani, the Belchowtara Sports Ground under the Area Police Office Belchowtara, the Gothethar Sports Ground under the Area Police Office Bhanu, and in Bandipur under the Area Police Office Bandipur.

The office is planning to recruit 1,573 election police personnel. The office had extended the application deadline twice due to low applications. DSP Bik stated, "Training will be held at five locations, and applicants can contact whichever location is most convenient for them."

The office has placed 196 individuals on the alternative list. Preparations are underway to send those on the alternative list to Syangja. DSP Bik mentioned that interested individuals will be sent to Syangja because fewer applications were received there for election police.

Along with the election police, approximately two thousand security personnel will be mobilized for the elections. The District Election Office, Tanahun, stated that the process of collecting details of the employees and police to be mobilized in the elections is ongoing.
