Police Clash with Protesters Outside Parliament

A serious confrontation is happening outside Nepal's parliament building in New Baneshwor. Police are using forceful measures against GenZ protesters who have taken to the streets. The protests are against government corruption, misconduct, and the recent ban on social media.

To control the situation, police are continuously firing tear gas and have also used live ammunition. The protesters are demonstrating in a restricted area near the parliament. In response, the demonstrators have set tires on fire on the roads of Baneshwor. They are also chanting loud slogans directly against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

The police action has resulted in significant casualties. Reports confirm that two people have been killed by police gunfire so far. Additionally, hundreds of protesters have been injured in the clashes.
