The Same Jeep Crashes Twice in Four Months, Causing Greater Damage

In Dhangadhi, a jeep that crashed on Thursday in Dadeldhura had also been involved in an accident almost four months ago. This same jeep has now crashed two times on the same stretch of road at Chama Chaud, located in Navadurga Gaupalika-5. Both times, the same driver was operating the vehicle, and these repeated accidents have resulted in significant loss of life and property.

First Accident and Aftermath

The first accident involving this Bolero jeep, with license plate Se 1 J 738, occurred at Chama Chaud on Baishakh 23. At that time, the jeep was returning from the district headquarters after dropping off passengers in Vijayasaini. The driver, 35-year-old Ram Bahadur Saud, and a passenger, 25-year-old Bharat Vik, were seriously injured in the crash. Police reported that the jeep was also damaged. Both injured individuals received hospital treatment and recovered, and the jeep was sent for repairs before being put back into service.

Second, More Devastating Accident

Information Officer and Police Inspector Dambar Bista of the District Police Office in Dadeldhura confirmed that the same jeep was involved in a second accident at the same location, Chama Chaud, at around 9 AM today. This time, the crash was far more severe. The jeep, which was coming from Taatabazaar towards the Dadeldhura market, fell approximately 250 meters down from the road.

Casualties of the Second Crash

Tragically, four people lost their lives in this second accident. The deceased have been identified as 18-year-old Suresh Saud, 23-year-old Suresh Parki, 40-year-old Tara Awasthi, and 72-year-old Kalawati Saud. All were residents of the same rural municipality, and the news of their deaths has left the entire village in mourning. Additionally, six people were injured. The injured include 18-year-old Sushila B.K., 4-year-old Pratik Parki, 48-year-old Chandrabahadur Saud, the driver Ram Bahadur Saud, 42-year-old Ganeshbahadur Saud, and 44-year-old Prakash B.K. All the injured have been rescued and sent to Dadeldhura Hospital for treatment.

Driver Involved in Both Crashes

The driver, Ram Bahadur Saud, was the driver in both accidents. He had been seriously injured and recovered from the first crash, and now he is once again seriously injured in this second incident.

Ongoing Investigation

The exact cause of both accidents is still under investigation. However, the police have stated that they are investigating why the same jeep and the same driver were involved in two serious accidents. Police Inspector Bista said, "The police are currently focused on recovering the bodies and providing treatment to the injured. A detailed investigation into the incident is ongoing, and we will understand everything in a thorough manner."
