Two Ministers Meet Accident While Heading to PM's Program
Dhangadhi – Two ministers from Sudurpaschim Province were involved in a road accident while traveling to attend a program where Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was the chief guest. The incident occurred as Infrastructure Development Minister Surendra Pal and Internal Affairs and Law Minister Hira Singh Sarki were heading towards Chisapani for the inauguration of the Rani Jamara Kulariya Irrigation Project.
Collision Between Official Vehicles
The accident took place in Lamki, Kailali, on Tuesday when the two ministers' vehicles collided. According to police reports, the black vehicle (Ba 1 Jha 330) carrying Infrastructure Minister Pal suddenly braked when its driver attempted to greet someone on the road. At that moment, the red vehicle (Ba 2 Jha 1419) carrying Law Minister Sarki, which was approaching at high speed from behind, crashed into the first vehicle.
Vehicle Damage But No Injuries
The front section of the red vehicle was completely damaged and rendered inoperable, while the rear of the black vehicle also sustained significant damage. Fortunately, no human casualties were reported in the accident. Both ministers remained unharmed and later arranged alternative transportation to reach Chisapani for the scheduled event.
Police Investigation Underway
The District Police Office in Kailali confirmed that officers have reached the accident site and initiated an investigation into the circumstances of the collision. Authorities are examining the details of the incident to determine further actions.
The ministers' attendance at the Prime Minister's program proceeded as planned despite the unexpected vehicular mishap.
