Anup Vikram Shahi Lands Lead Role in Upcoming Film "Sumnima" Pairing with Upasana Yet to Be Revealed
Kathmandu Actor Anup Vikram Shahi has been finalized as the male lead in director Milan Chams' upcoming romantic film Sumnima. While actress Uppasana Singh Thakuri and actor Kunsang Bamjan were previously announced as the lead pair, it remains unclear whether Anup will be paired with Uppasana or if Kunsang retains the male lead role.
This marks Anup’s fourth collaboration with director Chams, having previously worked in Hansia, Veer Vikram, and Lily Billy. Anup expressed excitement about the project, stating that Sumnima offers him a unique role unlike anything he has done before in his career.
Produced jointly by Gorkha Films and Chams Entertainment, Sumnima is described as a pure love story. The rest of the cast and crew are still being finalized. Written by Rajiv Thapa, the film is scheduled to begin shooting in August, with locations in both London and Nepal.
